FiberTie Pipe Factory and Accessories W.L.L

FiberTie Pipe Factory and Accessories W.L.L, based in Doha, has a plant area of over 40.000 m2, of which 4.000 m2 are covered, and operates 5 discontinuous production lines from ND 25 to ND 3050. Its production capacity is 35.000 tons/year and employs over 120 workers.

FiberTie manufactures and supplies glass fibre reinforced plastic pipes and fittings according to Sarplast design. The company’s products include all joints and fittings, flanges and elbows as well as casings, screens and risers for deep water wells; it also offers engineering and technical assistance services.

FiberTie is registered and qualified with all local authorities as in Qatar and certified ISO 9001,14001 and 18001 and operates according to the Total Quality Management System .

FiberTie has its own certified Laboratory, where it can perform all tests both on raw materials and finished products..

FiberTie has been set up with the target to further develop the filament winding GRP technology and products in the G.C.C. market of and to continue working and increasing the experience of manufacturing started in 1973 with the best quality and customer service.

Product Range:

  1. The series are designed for the following pressure ratings: 6 – 10 -16 – 20 bar and up to 50 bars.
  2. The systems are designed to provide a minimal 3:1 safety factor in accordance with ASTM D-1599.
  3. Sarplast – Qatar produce GRE pipes from DN 25(1”) up to DN 600(24”) However higher diameters are available upon request.

Spool Engineering:

With FiberTie GRE Piping system the spooling options for product preparation is available:

  1. Piping system is prepared by using a prefabricated spool based on standards component dimensions, however this option is feasible when Isometric drawings are prepared, and dimensions are verified at site.
  2. This is more relevant with plain ends specially for congested areas and adjustment can be provided at some joining locations with extra length of plain ends if needed.
  3. However same spooling can be done with Adhesive joint as well with limited flexibility for site dimensions.

1- GRP piping systems with large diameters for low pressure applications as aqueducts, sewers, sea water intake and discharge.
2- GRP piping systems for chemical, petrochemical, food and power industry.
3- GRP piping systems for Pressure applications, cooling systems and potable water lines.
4- Shipbuilding applications and Offshore installations: Marine Piping System, Seawater, cargo, flammable liquids, sounding lines.
5- GRP piping systems for pressure applications for civil and industrial sewers, cooling systems and potable water distribution lines.
6- Submarine GRP sea lines including final risers.
7- GRP piping systems where high resistance to abrasion are required as desulphurization plants, quarry and slurry piping installations.
8- GRP piping systems for firefighting networks manufactured under the prescription of the Factory Mutual certification.
9- GRP piping systems for deep water wells manufactured under own internal know-how.
